Sue Larkey

International Author, Autism Spectrum Specialist, Teacher

Sue Larkey is uniquely positioned within the Education System having both taught as a Primary School Teacher and Special Education Teacher. Sue has taught students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the mainstream and at a Specialist Autism School. She combines the practical experience with extensive research, having completed a Masters in Special Education and currently undertaking a Doctorate of Education.

Peter Batten

Peter Batten is a Special Education teacher and works at Belconnen High School with students on the Autism Spectrum. Peter’s program received a Chief Minister’s Inclusion Award in 2008. Peter was awarded a Churchill Fellowship last year and has recently returned from a trip to the USA and UK where he studied programs that work alongside young people with Autism/Asperger’s Syndrome, supporting both their education in mainstream settings and their ongoing participation in the workforce. Peter has recently been appointed to the ACT Children and Youth Services Council.

Phil Small

Popular Canberra television and sporting personality will provide some sizzling entertainment as our Live Auctioneer.

Phil has twenty years experience in the media including at a local television station where he became a regular visitor in our homes. He is well known as a Master of Ceremonies at Canberra events. We thank Phil for his great support for Autism Asperger ACT.


Milena Cifali

Performing/composing for over a decade, Milena has emerged to be one of the leading Australian Classical guitarist/composers. Whilst classically trained and a sought after teacher herself, Milena is equally comfortable drawing upon contemporary and world influences.

An exponent of open tuning, folk and jazz genres combined with her strengths in Latin/baroque and classical styles, Milena is equally at home in live performance as in recordings. Often seeking to collaborate with other musicians and musical styles,she has included didgeridoo and flute on her recordings and in performances.

To date she has produced three CDs: " Alegrias' guitar music from Latin America, Spain and Italy,Stringstorm 'The Opening' by Milena Cifali, for ten guitars and percussion, and Continuum, released under the Hardrush label, featuring guitar music from 1500 to the present, including original works by Milena.

In a male dominated classical music world, Milena is a leading female guitarist, who is reaching out to the world with her truly gifted and inspirational music
